For the Swiss semi-final in Geneva which took place on 27 March in the Globe at CERN, sixteen participants registered. The jury awarded the first prize to Philippe Kobel. Giovanni Porcellana and Jennifer Fowlie were the winners of the audience prize.
The second FameLab competition in Switzerland took place on February 4 in the Globe at CERN in Geneva. Twenty-two young scientists participated and were supported by a large audience on-site and by more than 100 fans via webcast! The following five candidates were selected to join their colleagues from Zurich in the masterclass weekend on science communication: Alexandre Fête, Susan Johnson, Boris Lemmer, Shruti Muralidhar and Rafäel Thézé. Boris Lemmer a particle physicist form CERN was the winner of the Geneva competition.
30 young scientists have enrolled for the FameLab competition in Geneva on Saturday, February 4. Due to the large number of participants the registration had to be closed at noon today! But please come to the Globe at CERN on Saturday from 10 am - 4.30 pm to support these young communication talents and find out who will be selected to participate in the masterclass weekend in March.
